IMG_4054

first stop was breakfast at The Marketplace at Olive & Ivy, then off to the ballpark

IMG_4064

where we were hit with torrential rain and a hailstorm

luckily I found time for a margarita before the sky opened up!

IMG_4083

and luckily we escaped to a nearby spot for shelter

IMG_4093

and we even found a Grimaldi’s Pizza nearby!

(based in Brooklyn, it’s some seriously yum pizza)

IMG_4045

we also really liked Modern Steak for happy hour

IMG_4038

the warm butter poached lobster jar was a big hit

IMG_4037

as were the white truffle french fries

IMG_4174

the next day we hit up The Breakfast Club for brunch

since the boys were having Bloodies I figured I’d have a glass of bubbly…

look at the size of it!

(grande latte for reference)

IMG_4146

twinsies!
IMG_4179

Sohrab ordered a beast of a breakfast…

a breakfast burrito “monster style” (aka smothered in pork green chile and chorizo queso)

IMG_4107

after hitting up another game & a little shopping for Elli and I

(thankfully it stayed dry)

we headed back to Olive & Ivy for dinner

I love the hanging jar lights!

IMG_4108

IMG_4198

Our last night we tried Citizen Public House

IMG_4204

and met up with our good friend, Leo, who lives out there

IMG_4209

and then headed over to the poolside bar / club at the W

it was pretty awesome

especially since we were “VIPs” bc we were staying at the hotel

and therefore didn’t have to stand in line

IMG_4258

I went on a quick trip to Denver for work

IMG_4274

and had a lovely overpriced airplane picnic (that I did not make) on my flight back

IMG_4283

fun Twilight posters from D’s sister, Maria

IMG_4345

my brother then came to visit – we started off the trip at Mavericks in Half Moon Bay

IMG_4376

and of course hit up Roam

IMG_4377

I find it impossible to not order their bison burger

IMG_4379

a trip to Rose’s Cafe was also in order

IMG_4389

for dinner with our cousin Mandy

IMG_4395

MJ took me to a lovely lunch at Absinthe

their soft garlic pretzels with cheese sauce are omg good

IMG_4399

we then swung by Four Barrel coffee in the Mission for a couple of lattes

IMG_4409

MJ snapped photos while I got a little work done

IMG_4410

good to the last drop – that’s latte art at its finest

IMG_4427

MJ also took us to a lovely meal at Cafe de Amis – Scott’s the best bartender in town!

DSC_0363

we also managed to make it up to Tahoe for the weekend

DSC_0354

the snow was melting but it was still really cold!

DSC_0350

we had lots of opps for great shots

love that Domino has started releasing magazines again

IMG_4512

I cooked up a yummy pasta dinner for us all

IMG_4511

perfect in front of the fire with my Domino magIMG_4710

and on MJ’s last night we went to a Warriors / Lakers game – so much energy!

IMG_4871

I went on a few more foggy runs down along the water

IMG_4875

isn’t this city amazing?IMG_4887

then mum & dad came up to visit!

IMG_4889

of course we had to go to Rose’s first thing

IMG_4927

and lots of long windy walks down along the water

IMG_4936 IMG_4956

IMG_4967

and huge latte bowls from La Boulange

IMG_4995

and more long walksIMG_4996

and trips to the farmers market, of course!

IMG_5013

Kerry and Brett then came up for our sorority reunion

(we get a lot of house guests, in case you haven’t realized)

this is so funny – check out Brett’s face in the background

IMG_5015 2

he just took a swig of Kerry’s green juice

IMG_5014

I don’t think he was very impressed

IMG_5038

but we were – Juice Shop is great!

IMG_5039

the gang’s all here – it was our ADPi Centennial!

(the boys were good sports to be hanging out w a bunch of old shady ladies w us!)

IMG_5056

after, we hit up one of our old college haunts – KIPS!

IMG_5081 IMG_5096

it was a great night spent with old friends!

IMG_5135

on Sunday we hit up Market Bar for brunch

IMG_5139

and then walked off some of the cobwebs from the night before by doing the Filbert Stairs

IMG_5147

once you climb one hundred million stairs, you end up at Coit Tower

fantastic views of the city, huh?

IMG_5183 IMG_5187 IMG_5196

I also had a playdate with the darling Zoe
IMG_4992

there was a bachelorette party in Miami

IMG_5208

that started at the ever-so-fab wine bar in Terminal 2 at SFO

IMG_5211

IMG_5257

but not as lovely as the bride-to-be!

IMG_5370

I even fit in a run one of the mornings

IMG_5371

there’s a great running path right along the water

but it was soooooo hot

I missed the fog

IMG_5385

the second day was spent poolside

IMG_5386

sneaky spaghetti & meatballs

2

Spaghetti & meatballs has to be one of my ultimate favorite dishes – it’s so comforting and delicious and always hits the spot. The problem is, it isn’t always the healthiest of options so I’ve come up with a sneaky cheats recipe that is *almost* as good as the real thing (especially if you mix in some fresh mozzarella at the end)… check out the recipe on TDM! :)

creamy mexican chicken pasta bake

2

This week on The Daily Muse I whipped up a comforting baked pasta dish, using only ingredients I had in the freezer and pantry already. The result was a creamy mexican pasta dish that is seriously yummy and so simple to make… easy enough for a weeknight dinner, but it would be fantastic for a party as well!

You can find the recipe here!
