Mason Jar Salads…seriously the best thing that’s happened to lunch in a long time. Or dinner. The best part is they’re make-ahead, so you can make a big batch on a Sunday and have meals ready-to-go all week long.

You all know I love Barbies and The Hunger Games – here’s an article I wrote for TDM on Barbie over the years, and the awesome careers she’s had!

foodie penpals
I decided to participate in Foodie Penpals this month – it’s a program started by Lindsay of The Lean Green Bean and each month bloggers from all over the country send each other boxes of their favorite foodie items.
The lovely Lindsay of Live. Love. Nutrition sent me a box chock full of some seriously delicious items – it was as if a close friend had sent me a box of some of my favorite foods!
She went to school in Connecticut so she include lots of local products, like an awesome granola that is all natural and made with real ingredients! Also in the box were some biscotti bites (perfect for nibbling on), baked kettle chips (these did us very well up in Napa), dry roasted edamame (great snack), and some chocolate covered pretzels from a local chocolate specialty store in NJ, her home state.
I think the Biscotti bites were my favorite!
Thanks so much Lindsay!
Oh, and if you want to see what I sent from good ole San Francisco, click on over to Brooke’s blog, Living on Love and Leftovers!
